This is not the Lanyu seen through a traveler’s eyes —
this is Driftwood Isle.
Here, the sea breeze carries the quiet scent of forest life — honest, unbound.
The wind rises from the ocean, salted and bright,
tracing its way through moist green mandarin groves.
Cypress murmurs softly; leather keeps the warmth of those who once passed.
— an island adrift in stillness, its fragrance never moors.
《Fragrance Notes》
- Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Green Mandarin
- Middle Notes: Aquozone, Italian Cypress, Leather
- Base Notes: Labdanum (Cistus), Sandalwood, Cashmere Wood, Ambergris
《Scent and Visual Inspiration》
Driftwood Isle is inspired by a small island off Taiwan called Lanyu, a name that echoes the sound of “Blue Isle” in Mandarin. On Driftwood Isle, the sea is not just a backdrop—it is where scent begins. The island’s winds carry a trace of salt, sweeping over green mandarin and cypress, stirring the aroma of ocean waves and the sun-dried bark of wood beneath tribal eaves.
The top note is the wind—a crisp blend of pink pepper and green mandarin. The heart is the sea—a fusion of waves, cypress, and leather. The base is time itself—cistus, sandalwood, and cashmere wood, slowly settling in the late-day light. This is not the Lanyu seen through a tourist’s gaze, but the scent of everyday life—carried by sea breeze into the forest. Honest. Unbound.
The visual design evokes an endless ocean, with light shifting through layers of deep and quiet blues. A sandalwood walkway extends like a drifting island, offering space for blooming cistus and Italian cypress to grow freely. It symbolizes the delicate rhythm between sea and wood on Driftwood Isle—gently intertwined, quietly alive.
